Shyam's Payal !

RECENTLY CRESCENDO Music launched a new album "Payal" by debutant Shyam. "Payal" contains eight songs, the claim being that the mix of soft, slow, sad and fast songs caters to a variety of consumers.While Jaydev has scored the music for the album, Shayar Shahab Allahbadi provides the lyrics. The music video, directed by Shailesh Gupta, can be seen these days on a number of TV channels. Shyam appears in it, along with actress Rinku Ghosh. Shyam, trained in classical music under Guru Chanchal Prasad, has been performing on stage for three years and says he spares at least two hours for riyaz, every day. He feels the video's "speciality" is that it is "clean" and "one can watch it with the family." Feeling that there was no good original work in the market dominated by re-mixes, he thought it was essential for him to go original and provide his audiences some "good stuff". Shyam's favourite singers are Sonu Nigam and Mohammad Rafi. From the classical arena, he likes Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
