Braised Mutton in Soya Sauce

Ingredients

Mutton - 500 gms
Carrot - 1
Onion - 1
Star anise - 1
Ground cinnamon - 1
Soya sauce - 2 tbsp
Ginger (sliced) - 3 gms
Garlic (chopped) - 3 cloves
Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
Spring onion - for garnish

Method

1. Cut the mutton into small cubes and boil in salted water for 30 minutes.

2. Heat oil and sauté ginger slices and chopped garlic. Add boiled mutton and fry for a few minutes.

3. Add a cup of stock (water, carrot and onion) and reduce it for 30 minutes and cook the mutton.

4. Garnish with diagonally cut spring onions.
