THREE CITY students — Sowmya Prasad of Sri Kumarans, Ramya Rajan of National Public School, Indranagar, and Puneet of Vidya Vardhaka Sangha have made it to the finals of the nationwide talent search contest, which will be held on February 4 at New Delhi.

The Classmate Young Author Contest, sponsored by ITC Ltd., is the first ever nationwide talent search for young authors, whose works will be judged by a jury headed by eminent author Ruskin Bond. The other jury members are filmmaker Sandeep Ray, journalist Jug Suraiya, and writer Anita Nair.

The contest, open to students from Class IX to XII, saw over 7,000 children from more than 500 schools across the country participate. The prizewinner gets a paid trip to Paris along with a guardian.
