Go green

Java Green is the latest chain of shop-in-shops cafés

COFFEE PUBS today are considered `the' hang out destinations . The twin cities has plenty of them offering endless cups of lattés, mochas and some crunchy sandwiches as well.

Adding to the brewing coffee culture in the twin cities is Java Green — a chain of gourmet shop-in-shops cafés located with Reliance Web World outlets. No, you don't have to take a connection to sip a cuppa here. But with almost all the youth around carrying at least one hand set on them, Java Green is the right place to grab a bite and a smoothie as you look up a new connection or a handset.

With a refreshing peacock green theme running through the store, this is a youthful outlet that cannot be missed. The interiors are just right to sit around with friends as well as to talk business .

Informal circular tables with inspiring graffiti teamed with snug chairs constitute the furniture. The options at the coffee counter, include the popular latté, ice blended granitas and steaming masala chai with the in-house brew Java mocha.

Incidentally the outlet takes its name from Java coffee beans. To go with the brew the café offers Death by Chocolate— a rich chocolate pastry, a fruity Pineapple Puff and don't miss the popular trade mark snack of the outlet, Java Wraps - a double grilled wrap that comes with a scrumptious filling of capsicum, cottage cheese or chicken and a dash of spices, and more.

The café is inexpensive but classy. "While we started with the youth segment, today we have young executives and families coming over," says Bhupesh Dinger, Circle Head, Andhra Pradesh, Reliance Web World.

There are 10 Java Green shop-in-shops cafés in the twin cities, the popular being those situated at Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Ameerpet, MPM Mall and opposite Paradise Hotel owing to the broad band services such as video chat and real time gaming offered at the above outlets.

"We are looking for stand-alone Java Green outlets in the twin cities as well, based on the success of our flagship store at Spencer Plaza, Chennai. Eventually each service of Reliance will become a distinct entity," says Dinger.

For now just walk into one of the Reliance Web World outlets between 10 a.m. and 8.30 p.m.
