Eating out: fun or fad?

Mix of both

CHANGING CONSUMER trends and lifestyles have contributed to eating out. Factors like an escalating consumer demand for the convenience of eating out, growth of single person households, increase in working women, decline in cooking skills and less formal eating occasions and the increase in snacking have resulted in people stepping out to eat. Fuelled by diners' demand, hoteliers launch newer varieties. Some people eat out (fad?) every now and again because it is a treat not to have to prepare the whole thing yourself. While on the weekends some make up (fun?) for the rest of the week by doing some `real home cooking.'
