Touching tale
THE COUPLE invests all their hard-earned money in their only son's education. They pamper him, spare no efforts in enabling him to grow up comfortably, and ensures he gets the best in life.
The son grows up, goes abroad and forgets the parents. In ripe old age, the couple yearns for the son and live with a grim hope that he will come back and take care of them.
A touching tale of human relationships and values has started beaming recently on DD. Produced by M. Venkateswar Rao and Meher Babu, and directed by R.V. Narasimha Rao, Pithru Devo Bhava is telecast on Mondays and has an impressive cast that includes Adabala, Krishna Sri, Suresh, Madhumani and Ajay Ghosh.
Success is his first name
PATIENCE PAYS and ensures success. And Vijay Yadav, who, despite initial obstacles persevered with his passion for the telly, vouches for the fact.
The actor, who proved his acting prowess in Siri on DD and Oke Okkadu on Maa TV, is busy channel-hopping nowadays. Despite his initial forays not meeting with expected success, the youngster, bitten by the acting bug, sustained all pressures to emerge a sought-after performer on the small screen.
Among the serials that got Vijay recognition and ensured a stature in the telly world, Siri, which recently completed 200 episodes, figures prominently.
The success was sustained with Evari Gola Vaaride and Aalasyam Amrutham Visham, both on Maa TV.
Vijay is also part of another popular serial, Samsara Sagaram on DD.
"I will soon be seen in Maya on Gemini TV and Priyanka on ETV," says Vijay exulting in his accomplishments. The telly star, who has survived the whims and fancies of the industry to carve a niche for himself, has several offers waiting for him. But, he is still not contented.
"I have several more goals to achieve," says the actor who has success in his name.
New and improved
MAA TV has recently revised its schedule and added several new concepts and programmes to it. Prominent among the new ones is a weekly series, Annamacharya Keerthanalu sung by Kondaveeti Jyothirmayee that is telecast on Saturdays.
