200 and going strong

THE SERIAL has already scored a double century and looks set to add more. Siri on Doordarshan with an impressive mix of new and established talent has recently completed 200 episodes.

Producer of the serial, P.V. Rammohan Naidu, attributes the success to a realistic and humane portrayal of characters and the spirited performances put in by the artistes.

Exclusively for children

CHILDREN AND their interests usually take a back seat in schedules drawn up by Telugu channels. All that is beamed in the name of programming for children is a couple of cartoon strips and an occasional comedy movie. That's all and nothing more.

In this scenario, Maa TV's new programme Bol Baby Bol comes as a whiff of fresh air for its exclusive content aimed at the young audience.

And the best thing about the show, telecast on Sundays at 8.30 a.m., is that it is anchored by child artiste Zeba.

A cool and composed Zeba leads the interactive show with great aplomb and has kids calling in from different parts of the State to share jokes, unforgettable moments and even trivia. It is an out-and-out fun time for kids and comes peppered with a segment on movie songs. Kids, do catch up with some indigenous stuff put together for you.

Waging a lone battlem

ABANDONED AT birth, pushed around as a child, and rejected and ridiculed while growing-up only makes her resolve to succeed more steely.

She endures all the lows of life with patience and fortitude to chart the path of success.

Padmavyuham, the daily serial on ETV, is about a girl's lone and determined bid to accomplish in the face of adversity.

The serial has a host of artistes including Neeraja, Naveen, Jahnavi, Krishna Sri and Jeedigunta Sridhar, and is telecast at 8.30 p.m.

A generous blend of emotions and sentiments make Padmavyuham interesting and catapulted the serial into the top rankers of ETV.
