BOLLYWOOD AND Tamil cinema's dream run of 2003 seems to have hit roadblocks this year. "Kaakhe" has ended up as an average grosser while Big B's "Aetbaar" is a total washout. All the January releases such as "Paap" and `Maqbool" have turned out to be disasters. In Chennai, Pongal releases have just not been able to live up to the hype with only "Virumaandi" doing average business mainly in cities. In Andhra Pradesh, NTR's `Andhrawala" is a colossal flop while Chiranjeevi's "Anji" and Balakrishna's "Lakshmi Narasimha" are puffing and panting to break even. Among the Sankranti releases, it is "Varsham" that has turned out to be the super hit. And in Kerala, Mammootty has staged another comeback with "Sethurama Iyer CBI" turning out to be a big hit. Mohanlal has recorded his biggest flop in recent times with "Vamanapuram Bus Route".
