Heart strings, purse strings

COMMERCIAL HOUSES are vying with each other to open the purse strings of the love-struck this Valentine's Day. The Village Restaurant Complex on Siri Fort Road promises a specially designed evening with unlimited food, a wide range of drinks and freebies - the highlight being gifts from `Jewels by Anu', the jewellery range designed by Anuradha Chhabra - and music to digest it all. The music has for the day has been specially designed keeping Valentine's Day in mind. Also, keeping up with the Day's theme, one would be pampered with a plethora of items ranging from chocolates, specially made heart-shaped cookies, red roses and key chains to name a few.

Meanwhile, Ansal Plaza in South Delhi is running a Super Shopper Contest till February 29, offering customers - among other attractions - a chance to date Bollywood stars Fardeen Khan and Katrina Kaif. A purchase of Rs.500 or above entitles shoppers to enter a lucky draw. Besides weekly gifts, two winners get to fly to Mumbai for a date with the stars. Among the attractions at the City Centre Mall in Gurgaon, a three-day promotion starting this Thursday offers packages for Rs.1199 and Rs.1999. The first includes a movie, a meal and a gift pack with discount coupons for various stores at the mall, while the second offers a movie with food, drinks and dancing options. The band Savan Nichani will also be performing.
