Actress calls the shots

AS A child star he created sensation. As a lead star he is yet to get that big success. But Silambarasan alias Chimpu continues to bag assignments and his latest one, Manmadhan is for S.K. Krishnakanth who made last year's big hit Thiruda Thirudi and the recent Pongal flop Pudukkottailirindu Saravanan both with Dhanush. After a mammoth muhurat and a few days shoot, the film ran into trouble as Jyothika refused to shoot unless the offensive dialogue and the suggestive gyrations in the dance movements were removed. Better sense prevailed as the heroine has more market value than the hero and the offensive dialogues were cut from the script. So she is back in the movie. Interestingly, Chimpu wrote the story and screenplay too for Manmathan directed by A.J. Murugan.
