Preity turns columnist

BOLLYWOOD'S MOST popular heroine Preity Zinta is playing a new role. She has turned columnist for the prestigious BBC's online website, www.bbcnews.com/southasia. She will be writing a weekly column on everything under the sun from films to politics. She joins a select and respected band of writers like best selling author Ahmed Rashid and noted economist Kaushik Basu and a plethora of other specialists. Said Preity: "I am pretty outspoken and have my own view on every subject. So it will be a good platform for me to air my views." In her inaugural column, she has written about the changing faces and films to watch out for in 2004. The actress will donate her fee to a charity she supports.
