THAT MUSIC helps in the process of meditation is a well recognised fact. Meditation is that medium which links the inner and the spiritual soul. It is also widely believed that meditation is energetic, spiritual, scientific and even psychological and has the power to free one's mind of one's tensions. No wonder therefore that meditation aids - schools, books, CDs and cassettes - have cropped up in profusion.
Sa Re Ga Ma which had come out with a few cassettes earlier, including one of Jasjit Singh, has now come out with its latest offering "Aum Hari Aum", Music for meditation. This is one of the better meditation cassettes that we have seen in the recent past in that it has nice sweet music, though at times it is a trifle shrill. Interestingly, the cassette has music both for "Meditation in the morning" (Side A), and "Meditation at Night" (Side B). More than all this it has some nice commentary by Rajesh Johri. He has indeed done a good job and his commentary is quite meaningful. Says Johri, "the strength of music could be the support of life" and "meditation connects the individual soul with the divine soul and gives an inner strength to come out of difficult situations." Indeed what he says is true. If only we realise all this and delve into the world of meditation, life could be much simpler for us. The cassette is well worth a buy or could be freely gifted to near and dear ones.

YOU HAVE heard all the 39 songs in this dual tape but you do not mind owning this one compact audio simply for the reason that it is physically easier to carry the songs in two cassettes than more. Well-known numbers like Backstreet Boys' `Everybody,' Queen's `Heaven for Everyone,' Michael Leans to Rock's `That's Why You Go away,' `Doctor Jones' by Aqua, `I Wait Love' by Elton John etc are all packed in their original soundtrack.
