A crime thriller

CAN VETERAN director Bharathiraaja recreate the old magic with his new film "Kangalaal Kaidhu Sei"? The film due on Valentine's Day (February 14) is an urban crime thriller with a love story woven in. It has an all-new star cast. Bharathiraaja is a past master at introducing new faces who have all made it big and he is now introducing Vaseegaran and Priya Mani. The director has moved away from his regular village milieu to create a dark, dreary suspense drama with a riveting climax. Said Bharathiraaja: "Times have changed and so has the audience taste. Today's youth needs fast-paced, racy entertainers and so I have tried to package the film with music by A. R. Rahman, shot in foreign locales."
