Swig-n-swing contest

A `Swig-n-swing' contest was held by McDowell's Signature at the East Point Golf Club recently. It was a fun-filled day of golf, drinks, dances and prizes. In all, 70 golfers participated of whom H.S. Mallhi walked away with the McDowell trophy. Kim Howard and K. Prabhakar stood second and third respectively. Admiral General Bansal and Tarachand gave away the prizes.

The senior vice-president of the UB Group Spirits Division, Alok Gupta, said: "Swig-n-swing symbolises the lighter side of McDowell's association with golf, after having successfully established two mega golfing events in the country, McDowell's Signature Club Golf and McDowell's Signature Celeb Golf".

The swig-n-swing contest was played over nine holes. Before teeing off at each hole, the participants have to drink 20 ml of Signature whisky/200 ml ready-to-drink beer/300 ml of soft drinks. The contest started at Jaipur on January 25 this year. Over the next few weeks it would be held in Bhubaneswar Golf Club, Mysore Golf Club, RCGC, Kolkata, and Lucknow Golf Club.
