Romancing the stone

Women's love for ornaments is as old as the hills. The advent of the yellow metal, not only enhanced their quest for gold but has made jewellery a part of the growing fashion industry.

Today women all over the world like to romance with fashionable gold jewellery and if they are studded with diamonds or precious stones they go ga-ga.

To foment that urge, Sri Krishna Jewellers is here with their `Celestial Collection' for a four-day exhibition cum sale at the Carmichael Hall in Taj Residency from Friday.

"We deal exclusively with diamond and precious stone studded gold and white gold jewellery. Apart from dishing out the latest designs, we make sure that every piece is distinct from the other. Our products are carefully handcrafted by our expert craftsmen at our production centre in Hyderabad," says its vice-president (corporate), Edwin Kolen.

The jewellery shop, which is based in Hyderabad, has an outlet in Michigan (US) and conducts exhibitions all over the world showcasing its designs.

On the latest trends, Edwin says, "We have a design team, headed by our CEO, Pradeep Kumar, that keeps itself abreast with the latest trends in fashion jewellery. But apart from manufacturing trendy ornaments we give equal importance to the traditional designs also. There is something for everyone at our place."

As far as authenticity is concerned each piece comes with a certificate grading the carattage of diamond and gold.
