MUSIC REMIXES... FUN OR FARCE

Fun within bounds

MUSIC in any form whether copied or remixed is good so long as it does not violate any copyright law or cause the composer to suffer agony that his original work has been mauled. Talking about my own experience with remixes... I did make a foray in 1974 for HMV, but then it was not well received. But, ironically, now, when remixes are welcome, I don't do them! While I personally feel that there is no version that can be better than the original, there are some artistes who feel that remixing actually enhances the original composition. Then there are some composers who even feel sorry and wish that the new chord or arrangement in the remixed version had occurred to them when they had tuned the original lyrics so many years ago. But on the whole I feel that anything within limit is fun and this is true of music too.
