THIS THURSDAY, it is some task waiting for the couch potatoes to assemble a `perfect family.' In fact, the show began this Wednesday itself. By now, the `K' serial watchers must have guessed it. Called Dabur Anmol Shampoo Star Parivaar Awards-2004, it is the time of the year yet again to nominate 25 members from the Star Plus serials to turn it into the family of neighbour's envy.

Beginning at 9.30 p.m., it is Samar Khan taking you through the two-part nomination specials and also to inform you about the voting mechanism which will continue from this week till the midnight of June 10. Interestingly, in this second year of life, the Star Parivaar Awards have left behind their perfect bahus like Tulsi and Parvati as in the last year, to an altogether new list which includes Prerna, Kashish, Saroj, Kumkum and the latest to join the bandwagon, Kesar too. Tulsi and Parvati have joined the gang of perfect mothers' list of nomination this time. Though, Mihir Virani is present in the nomination line-up for both favourite husband and favourite father-in-law.

Says Deepak Segal, Senior Vice President, Programming, Star India: "The tremendous success of the show last year has boosted the confidence of the actors and the powerful roles they enact. Almost every character has become part of every Parivaar in India. This is Star's way of appreciating our viewers' involvement with our shows." Well then, here are the 25 categories lined up this year - Favourite dada/nana, Dadi/Nani, Favourite Jaadui Kirdar, action star, Favourite bachcha, beta, beti, maa, pita, bhai, bahen, bhabhi, devar, devrani, jethani, nanand, Favourite Yogya bahu, yogya damad, Favourite sasur, saas, pati, patni, bahu and Favourite jodi.

Segal says "the best part of it is, through these awards, you can pair off your favourite pati of one show with your favourite patni from another show."

Also, isn't it some way of telling the actors by the channel that you are being constantly watched? Win TRPs for us, win hearts for yourself!
