Elated, delighted, relaxed...

Deepa Raparla finds the right-brains of Lakshmi and Janardhana Rao ticking.

MOOD SWINGS from nah-nah to aha!

The adjacent environment you stand in may lead you to become an epitome of diverse feelings that could rule your mind.

Being elated, delighted, relaxed, pacified or get tuned to a myriad feelings just by that simple setting behind is how influential a milieu could be. Understanding this sunk-in secret is a couple Janardhana Rao, a transport contractor and his graceful wife, Lakshmi, who teamed up to actualise their dream of owning a dream house in an exceptional fashion.

The house introducing several novel and tasteful ornamentation styles is, no doubt, a delight to encounter. The copper-etched design plate embedded into the main entrance door provided an insight to their innovation.

The creamy silk drapes beautifully trimmed with embroidery, including tassels and beads, is out of the way that rendered a bewitching touch.

The stairs curved elegantly in the hallway displaying the installed glass in between the wooden poles identified, as 'Dowelling,' is eye-catching. Adopting the latest design of lighting layout in the main sitting area is the cone lighting that has outshone the beautiful surroundings. The design of the old grand father's clock standing boldly at one corner overshadowed the whole lot.

The artful painting of the family portrait, dominating the tender colored backdrop, is alluring.A rich taste for variety is obvious with the pristine milky leather couches occupying the central domain, whilst the carved traditional wooden settee draped in rich silk filled the second sitting.

The kitchen is immaculate with its granite dinette. Teak wood used for the extensive woodwork has given it a special look.

Elevated roofs in the bedrooms are exceptionally novel. While one bedroom has flaunted its pyramid roof, with its distinctly-laid wooden beams to enrich the look, so is the otherexhibiting yet another diverse roof with the beams crisscrossing, adding to its modernity. Rich use of stained glass replicas at every access way as well as for windows is attractive. The crafty pieces of Tanjore paintings used to deck the walls are the skillful contribution of Deepthi, the daughter who enjoys creating Tanjore Art.

"I have been nourishing this dream for long. My wife and I together have worked towards realising it," says Janardhana Rao with content.

"I have been on a constant lookout for good interiors for very long, so that I can raise my house to satisfaction," grins Janardhana Rao.
