Saaksshi's success

CINEVISTAS SAAKSSHI (Sony, Saturday 9 p.m.) is a welcome relief from the typical saas-bahu serials. This serial has Mouli Ganguly playing Saaksshi Singh an undercover agent (Modesty Blaise?) in an anti-terrorist squad. It is a female action-oriented serial with handsome Samir Suri as her boss playing second fiddle. Saaksshi has boosted the career of Mouli Ganguly, the daughter of the Kolkata based commercial artist Pritish Ganguly. Now Mouli is doing a role in Rituparno Ghosh's Raincoat starring Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai. Said Mouli: "Saaksshi has given me a new lease of life as the character is multi-dimensional and portrays me in a different light".
