IT IS now more or less certain that there would be a major shake up in the police department immediately after the conclusion of the Assembly session. With one or two DCPs likely to be shifted from the State capital, the guessing game is on among the police circles.
With four IPS officers leaving or slated to go on UN assignments and four more returning to the State from Central deputation and another one being sent to Delhi, indications are that there would be a major reshuffle of the police hierarchy.
With the Assembly session going on, the general discussion among the policemen on duty is whether their boss would get shifted and if so where?
The guessing game would continue till at least June 5, the day when transfers are likely to be announced.
