Buoyant legislators

A SENSE of bonhomie prevailed when the newly elected legislators gathered for the first meeting of the 12th Assembly. Recovering from the hard electioneering that preceded the elections and the surprises that were in store when results poured in, the MLAs chose to cut across party lines and greet each other. The bitterness of campaign gone, there were smiles, greetings, congratulations and even bear hugs. The Malakpet MLA, Malreddy Ranga Reddy, who quit Telugu Desam Party to win on a Congress ticket, was all smiles as he stopped by to greet the BJP MLA, G. Kishan Reddy. The alliance factor might have gone between the two but the warmth certainly doesn't seem to have lost between them.
