On the GREEN path
COINCIDING WITH World Environment Day, Eco-Watch, Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development, will conduct a series of programmes on June 4 and 5, at Kanteerava Stadium.
This unusual programme has been organised in collaboration with SOS Children's Villages of India.
Every year, on World Environment Day, Eco-Watch organises programmes in various regions, This year, they want to drive home the importance of environment and focus on the role children play in protecting it.
They want to reach out to more and more children and hence plan to rope in kids from different schools, clubs, and NGOs.
On June 4 and 5, the event will kick off with a wildlife photography exhibition at 4.30 p.m..
This will be followed by a play on environment by Arundhati Raja, after which there will be a corporate quiz..
Simultaneously, there will be screening of films on environment made by Eco-Watch, beginning on June 4 at 6.30 p.m.
On June 5, there will be a skit on environment, a play by the children of CWC, painting, eco-quiz, essay and collage contests for children. These programmes at Kanteerava Stadium begin at 9.30 p.m.
