Twisty thriller

INITIALLY, EVERYONE dubbed it a typical potboiler of Telugu cinema. But even the master of all thrillers, Alfred Hitchcock would be at a loss for words if he were to witness the way the Balakrishna shootout episode has been progressing over the week.

Not to forget the spice added by the two corporate hospitals involved in the treatment of the actors... err... individuals implicated in the affair, the shape of things has once again changed course with producer Bellamkonda Suresh spluttering from his hospital bed that he did not know who pulled the trigger at him. And he was sure that Balakrishna "would never do it"! One of the hospitals had earlier added that the film actor's wife was also admitted to the hospital and treated for external injuries.

Then the police said Balakrishna had attempted suicide.

Balakrishna, in the meantime, is said to be going through a bout of `depression' with an Erragadda angle (you know it, the place where the insane get treated) also thrown in. Now the talk is, what is the third person, Satyanarayana Chowdhary, going to say. Will he add yet another angle to the incident?
