Introduction

Shobha Golecha grows wheatgrass and has been promoting its medicinal attributes. She cuts and delivers them daily to people who use it for curative purposes

IT'S BEEN hailed as "The richest nutritional liquid known to man" (Dr G.H.Earp Thomas) "Concentrated sun power" (Dr Birscher) and even as "The panacea on earth" (Dr D.R.Gala). It is considered the supplier of most of the necessary nutrients, minerals and vitamins needed by the body; it is known to activate 30 enzymes in the body and to nourish each and every body cell.

Did you know that wheat grass contains more vitamin C than even oranges? It also contains Vitamin E, proteins (with 30 enzymes) and the chlorophyll in it is molecularly similar to haemoglobin, so wheat grass is a blood builder as well. Anne Wigmore was the first to investigate and promote wheat grass juice and started the Hippocrates Institute. She included evidence in her books of the blood cleansing and building abilities of chlorophyll, it's effect on the circulatory system and role in detoxifying and regenerating the liver.

Shobha Golecha who grows it, cuts and delivers it daily has given me a detailed medical literature on wheat grass. She points out that wheatgrass is known to control ailments like high blood pressure, cold, cough, asthma, constipation, acidity, stomach ulcers, insomnia and even cancer.

I have never either chewed on wheat grass or had its juice, so cannot give any personal testimony. But there are several patients who swear by its curative power. So, if you are interested in finding out more, call Shobha Golecha. 177/2 Poonamallee high Road, 101, Legend Apartments, Kilpauk, Chennai. Ph: 31078883. A 50-gm packet of fresh wheat grass costs Rs. 15.

P.S. The most wonderful aspect is that Shobha Golecha supplies wheat grass to cancer patients free.

One of my greatest joys is to receive your calls and emails, thanks ever so much for taking the trouble to keep in touch. Do forgive us if we are not able to carry your messages immediately, will do so as soon as possible. Do keep calling and keep smiling.
