Between the covers

PLOOF, A restaurant in Lodi Colony's Main Market, is cool in the sweltering heat. Designer candles placed on every table, the wire curtain and an appealing décor of blue and gray interiors are soothing. The latest at Ploof are its snacks that cater to those in-between cravings.

A cup of café au lait, English sandwiches, tempting desserts, chocolate brownies, carrot cake, hot mango pies - the choices are many.

You can make your own sandwiches, choosing from an alluring array of fillings, ranging from parma ham to smoked salmon, tuna, bacon, yellow and red peppers, baby corn, zucchini and mushrooms to assuage the hunger that crops up between meals.

An ideal place to catch up with friends or business associates over a cup of Espresso coffee, herbal tea or perhaps some Thai iced coffee between 3.30 and 7.00 pm on any day of the week, the restaurant also provides mouth-watering platters like chicken chaat on crisp, vegetarian and non-vegetarian kababs, baked ranch wedges with sour cream, breaded scallops and more.

The prices start Rs.40 onwards for a cup of coffee or tea, and range from Rs.80 to 145 for the luscious bits and bites, coolers and desserts.
