Is pre-school necessary?
PRE-SCHOOL IS definitely not necessary. Children should be left free to play and sleep at this age. But they are forced to learn things, wake up early, which makes them hate schools. Working mothers should instead leave their children in a Creche where they can think creatively and play.

PRE-SCHOOL IS an obnoxious thing. Children upto the age of five should be allowed to play, dance, painting or develop some other skill. But parents put children in pre-schools even before they celebrate their third birthday. But pre-school should be avoided.

PRE-SCHOOL IS one where the child of age (3-5 yrs) starts to explore the outside world without the guidance of their parents. In pre-school the ward will come across many new faces of his age group and elders, which enhances his social skills. A child is like clay out of which we can make god or devil as environment, the teachers and their parents play a vital role in shaping the future of the children.

PRE-SCHOOL IS a new concept, which has caught the fancy of modern day parents. This is one of the after-effects of the disintegration of the joint family system. When there are no grand parents or aunts or other relatives to help, the young mother already burdened with house work, a career and may be the demands of another child, naturally turns to pre-school for help. The pre-school is also seen as a training school for the entrance test for admission to regular school. The best place for a young child of two to three years is home only. The mother is the best caretaker and companion. There is no replacement for a mother. Pre-school is totally unnecessary. It only deprives the child of its natural right to be at home with the mother.

LIFE WAS simple in olden days. The joint family system gave the child ample opportunities to play with youngsters and interact with elders. A farm or a big house provided the child a lot of space to move around freely. But now, the urban apartment has become a virtual prison for the child. The nuclear family has constricted his sociability. Where both the parents go for work, irritable, undesirable friction mars the atmosphere at home. A preschool for two-year-old children will be an ideal set up for the child to mingle with his own flock under the eyes of an adult supervisor. The child can learn the art of adjustment and the sense of sharing there. A few hours of separation from his mother each day rather enhances the bond of love. Pre-schools are necessary for the proper moulding of the tender ones.

ENSURING A seat for a child in a reputed school has become a tough task. In order to overcome this, almost all Matriculation Schools have Pre-school system where children from three to six years are admitted. Though these children are not strictly asked to study, they are practised to adapt and accustom the school ambience for long hours even in the absence of their parent's care. These days no school admits a child unless he has undergone pre schooling. A thorough and rich blend of entertainment and education could revitalise and refresh a child's mind which in turn increase his/her curiosity level to study and learn more.

IN THIS fast moving, education crazy society of ours, it is a common sight to see pre-schools filling up. When we look at reality, we see lots of houses where both parents are working. The children of these parents become lonely without any social interaction and that is how they turn their attention to the idiot box. It isn't surprising nowadays to see 2 years old children, saying the stories of mega serials. In this critical situation pre-schools are a boon to the working parents. But it is a tight ropewalk. Pre-schools should try their best to make the nurseries just to sharpen the creative skills of young minds rather than going in only for the academics.

I HOLD the view that children can go to pre-schools, provided they are not burdened with books and notebooks or kept busy with tuitions. To be taught just the basic things in a "playway" method will be an added advantage. The pre-school is one of the places where a child's mind is trained to think. Only here, a child, for the first time, learns to stay away from its parents and mingle with other children of same age group. Only here a child forms an opinion of what learning and knowledge are about. If this is going to be bitter, then its manifestation in a child's study will become evident only in the course of its higher studies. So I conclude that pre-school is a necessity provided it is made an enjoyable experience to the children.

PRE-SCHOOL IS necessary for a child. A couple of hours at a pre-school will surely develop the child's latent skills. It helps the child in developing motor skills, personal skills, language skills and creativity. It also helps the child to socialise, by moving with other children. The child gets a routine (diet, sleep), which improves its health. As most of the children are pampered at home, they develop undesirable habits. A pre-school helps in inculcating good habits and instils self-confidence in the child. It also prepares him for the regular school. At most care should be taken in choosing a pre-school, as, some school tends o burden children by giving them written work too! The environment should be too observe and absorb as much as possible.

THE BASIC principle of pre-education is, "play while you learn, learn while you play." Definitely, pre-education is vital for every child. Because, in the traditional form of education, as soon as the child enters the school the kid is exposed to an atmosphere which is entirely different from home. So the child may find some trouble in getting used to the environment. But in the pre-education system the child is not forced to read or white at the very beginning but allowed to play with things instead. So the school becomes another home for the child where education is slowly but systematically introduced to the child. By this system, education will not be a burden to the child.

YES. TO compete in today's world, pre-education paves the path to success. The rate of grasping things is much more for children than the older one. The pre-school education provides children the basic knowledge. This 21st century requires human being with potential of education. To survive in future, the children must be well informed about education.

I FEEL pre schools are not necessary. Children should necessarily be with the mother and the family. This helps in forming a bond between the child and the family. The care provided by the mother cannot be equalled by the caretaker in pre-school. Moreover, a study made by the Japanese scientists shows that the right age for a child to attend school is 10 years. The sudden exposure of a child to pre-school at a small age of 2 or 3 may cause certain mental disturbances. Even though both the parents are working nowadays, the children at least can be left with close relatives.

PRE SCHOOL was started in cities to take care of children when their parents went to work. The pre-school system works only in cities. There are child care centres in villages but parents depends on them only for child's health. Whereas in cities, parents are fully dependent on pre-schools to take care of their child. Upto the age of five, every child needs more time with parents. Though playschools teach children a variety of activities, their proper growth finally depends on their homes and parents. On the other hand, pre-schools make a child develop the attitude of caring, sharing, loving from a young age itself. It makes them happy to make friends. So pre-schools can not be totally rejected either because they are necessary for some.

NO, PRE-SCHOOL is definitely not necessary. Even though children may gain some basic knowledge, they lose precious time spent with parents. It is very important for children to spend maximum and quality time with parents at this age. The new generation children are born with great memory. So there is no need to bother them with early studies as they can pick up fast later. So pre-school is really not needed. Every child must do what he or she should be doing at that age, that is play and enjoy. We should not force them to go along with our needs.

CHILDREN ARE like clay, so they should be moulded in a right way from childhood for shaping their personality. Even before the academic year starts, admission in pre-school begins. Parents are under pressure to prepare their child for a competitive society. Many studies support that first five years are the most important years in a child's life.
A positive attitude towards learning during these years is critical. Hence pre-schooling at this stage is necessary.
Though pre-schools are considered the second home, majority of them have become business-oriented.
The pre-schools should provide rich and stimulating environment and also the staff should be warm, loving and supportive to the child's own learning priorities.
Most pre-school teachers are not having proper training in managing and educating the children. Just any one cannot teach and care for the pre-school child. Only well trained teachers can understand and teach young children.
