Repeat act for Rima

RECENTLY, SHE played a journalist in Veede and now Rima Sen is playing an investigative reporter one more time in the Kannada film under production titled News. Her co-star Upendra too plays a similar role. News is a crime story directed by Maheswaran who had earlier made Vikram. The lead pair is on a crime beat reporting on crimes and criminal activities and concentrate on bringing to book criminals who escaped the police dragnet. Satya Prakash plays the main villain in this action thriller with Renuka Menon (she is one of those umpteen number of heroines from Kerala making their debut in Telugu with Vaalliddaru Okate) and Amritha in pivotal roles. Maheswaran says that his stint as an editor of the house journal of Madras Veterinary College while he was a student came in handy to write the subject on journalists. He also adds that investigative journalists like `Nakkeeran' Gopal inspire him. Besides News, Upendra's Uppidada M.B.B.S is also lined up for release this year.
