Bazaar for a cause

THE RAJASTHAN Cosmo Club is organising "Meena Bazaar 2004" at Hotel Savera on August 7 and 8.

The exhibition is aimed at helping women entrepreneurs market their products.

The club is into its 11th year and runs a cloth bank which serves the needy by distributing clothes, old and new. It also distributes new school uniforms every year to poor and deserving students in more than 150 schools in and around the city.

The Meena Bazaar shifts the focus from children to women and is an attempt at making women self-reliant.

The exhibition, which bridges the gap between manufacturers and consumers, will highlight the latest trends in household goods.

Part of the exhibition proceeds will go to the cloth bank.
