Lighting up the mood

ARMED WITH his newly imported collection from Europe, Spanish designer, Espania, under Nitin Bhayana, aims at bring `awareness' amongst the buyers, the awareness of its uses, importance and priority of light in one's life.

"These lamps are conceptual products", says Sethi, a lighting expert and consultant for the company. "These lamps give the real meaning and importance of light", he claims.

That lights can alter moods and change the ambience of a place is a well recognised fact. For instance, the lamp `Adorable', designed by Diego Fortunato, as the name suggests, is an ideal piece of Spanish creation which sets an adorable and heartening ambience. And the one designed by Josep Novell, `Jakie', can be personalised as per the décor that one likes, with its diffuser and a double covering in transparent methacrylate. Says Sethi "we are soon going to launch a new range of automation in lights" that have dimming effects.

One has to just press a button and adjust the light according to the mood.Lighting houses alone is not only what Espania does. Rather personal comfort is their mantra of life. Bhayana also deals with `Interior décor' imported from Europe, including all the designer accessories and furniture.
