The real culprits

A FEW WEEKS back, young Anish of Indira Nagar died of electrocution. Thereafter a committee went through the matter and apparently has blamed BESCOM for the tragedy. In my opinion, the town planners are more responsible for this. Not a single meter of ducting for power cables, communication cables and so on have been laid under the roads as in Singapore and other countries. The crores footed by tax payers for the visit of corporators and engineers to foreign countries in the past has gone totally down the drain. Tata Telecom laid underground cables in ducts in Hyderabad few years ago. Bangalore's town planning engineers must do better.
