Richa and R.P. in Kannada film
RICHA PALLOD should have made her debut in Kannada cinema soon after Nuvve Kaavaali in its remake version, Ninagaagi. But the actress was busy at that time and couldn't adjust the dates. The choosy girl has now signed a Kannada film, Cheppale (claps), directed by Naganna of Kutumba and Gokarna fame. Sunil Rao plays the hero and Ajaykumar the villain. More than anything, it is the claps that any person craves for in this world so goes the story that has the usual song and dances, romance and sentiments. Music director R.P. Patnaik has done an unusual feat by composing a song with only claps and without using any instrument.
And finally, the theatre bandh has halted with the subcommittee appointed by the Government to resolve the crisis announced a package that henceforth other language films will have to be released in Karnataka, only seven weeks after their release in their respective States and that too with only six prints. Mercifully, the committee has not said anything about the entertainment tax structure that the Government recently reduced for other language films from 70 to 40 per cent.
