New horizons

SOME OF his Telugu straight films like Youth are still lying in the cans, but Vikram has found his way to the heart of Telugu audiences through dubbed films, the latest being Vikram (Tamil hit Dil directed by Dharani) by Udaya Bhaskar Reddy. Vikram rendered a song in the Tamil version. Reddy wanted Vikram to sing the Telugu number too. So he waited patiently for the busy star to do the favour. He did croon the Telugu lyrics with perfect diction under the baton of Vidyasagar.

Laila who is making a comeback to Telugu films with Mr. & Mrs. Sailaja Krishnamurthy plays the female lead. By the way, Dil was remade in Telugu as Sriram with Udaykiran which was a failure. However, the producers of this flick say the remake was no match for the original version. Meanwhile, Vikram is not accepting any fresh offers till he completes Shankar's Anniyan.
