MOHAN LAL can justifiably twirl his moustache as he had done in his latest big hit, Shaji Kailas's
Naattuvaraaja and in the duo's earlier two hits, Aaram Thampooran and Narasimha, whose box office record is yet to be broken. For, with the Onam release, Naattuvaraaja, Mohan Lal proved that he is undoubtedly the supreme crowd puller in Kerala's cinema halls. Lal played Pulikaattil Charlie, who was averse to violence of any kind. This is the direct result of what he was exposed to during his childhood, watching his cruel father. How such a golden - hearted man was forced to take to arms is the story. Meena and Nayantara play the female lead. There is all the possibility of a Telugu remake of this big hit.
Meanwhile, Telugu tinsel town became matchmaker between two promising Kerala film personalities. Satyam fame Surya Kiran alias Suresh Nair is to wed Avunu Vaalliddaru Ishta Paddaru fame Kalyani Nair, early next year. The two met for the first time on the sets of Pedababu when Surya Kiran went there to meet his ongoing project `51' producer Kumar Chowdary.
