DOORDARSHAN, WHICH usually ends up drawing flak for its failure in tackling competition from other channels, surprised the viewers by dishing out some excellent fare during the just concluded Krishna Pushkaram.

The channel made extensive arrangements for the event andbrought the activities at Amaravati, Nagarjuna Sagar, Vijayawada, Beechupalli and Srisailam, live into millions of living rooms. And what came as a bonus for viewers was the classical hit films that were shown during the season on Doordarshan Saptagiri. The rich treat included Shankarabharanam, Sagara Sangamam, Annamayya, Swathi Muthyam and Sampoorna Ramayanam.
