"Media role added sheen to Pushkarams"

A constructive role

There is no denying the fact that media tells us the importance of all festivals, events or other activities in our day-to-day life. There is hardly any area which remains untouched or uninfluenced by media. The recently-concluded Pushkarams is no exception. The initial setback which befell the carnival in the form of a stampede that claimed four innocent lives dampened spirits of a wide section. But with the prompt intervention of media which led to tightening of the security arrangements for pilgrims, boosted the sagging morale of the devout who rushed from all corners of the State. The huge success of the mega event was all thanks to the constructive role played by media.
