"Media role added sheen to Pushkarams"

Faithful throng bathing ghats

The Krishna Pushkarams, the once-in-12-year water festival, is a holy event for people all over the country.

There is an exclusive section of the faithful which ensures its presence at Pushkarams during its every round. But, there are others who are drawn to the place due to sheer publicity given by the media. The attractive portrayal of the beautification drive undertaken by the district management, the elaborate arrangements made for the devout and the lustrous ambience that adorns the city during the 12-day carnival is temptation enough for anyone to throng the place and indulge in the holy bath.

Media can easily claim at least a part of the credit for its grand success.
