"Media role added sheen to Pushkarams"

Wide publicity resulted in pilgrim rush


Yes, media wielded a huge influence on the pilgrims rush in Pushkarams. Pushkarams come once in 12 years and so, there is bound to be a heavy rush during the 12-day period.

But wide publicity by media with regard to elaborate arrangements made for pilgrims at bathing ghats and pushkar nagars, definitely contributed to the swelling number.

It would not be out of context to say that media influenced the rush of pilgrims at the Pushkaram bathing ghats.
