"Media role added sheen to Pushkarams"

Not much

Pushkarams come once in twelve years. Many people come here to take a holy dip not just from across the State but also from other states and countries. Everybody wants to utilize this rare opportunity of a holy dip to wash away their sins.

I would say that media has partly succeeded in influencing the pilgrims rush at the bathing ghats. It is the faith that draws huge crowds from all corners to this place.

A large number of them come here to offer pinda pradanam to their ancestors (paying obeisance to the ancestors).

So, in my opinion, it is not only media but also devotion of the pilgrims which contributes to the increasing number of pilgrims to the city during pushkarams.
