Beauty pageants: yardstick for woman's self-worth?

Bring out the best

I dont think such exercises genuinely assesses the worth of women. Contests should test their knowledge and social awareness. Their level of poise and confidence should be given more importance. The costumes should be modest and decent. . If such changes are made in the shows, it will bring about the best in women and society would benefit from such pageants.
