Just for discerning few
INCORPORATING KASHMIRI craft into bridal elegance, fashion designers Sonia and Monica are back with their bridal collection to be showcased at the coming Bridal Asia-2004.
One of the few designers who source their work from Kashmir, their work is loved for its aesthetic beauty - the beauty of pashmina shawls, shawls embroidered in sojni, kani, watchikan and tilla.
Conceptualised some six years back by Jammu-based Sonia Mahajan, the duo started with small select group of artisans from the valley.
Now, the number of karigars working under them has increased manifold producing the most intricate embroidered shawls, saris and suits.
The aesthetic beauty of shaded shawls in pashmina makes them a must have for any discerning woman's wardrobe or bridal trousseau. Headquartered in Kashmir, Sonia and Monica have a studio in Delhi with their range being retailed in most major metros of the country.
Her saris and suits collection also needs to be mentioned as a visual treat in traditional and modern form.
Conceptualised some six years ago by Jammu-based Sonia Mahajan, and ably assisted by younger sister, Monica Bhayana, who is looking after operations in Delhi.
