Rajiv Nayyar has played the longest innings in first class cricket. Playing for Himachal Pradesh against Jammu & Kashmir in the North Zone Ranji Trophy league match at Chamba in November 1999 he batted 1015 minutes while scoring 271, the innings lasting almost three full playing days.
