Too much cricket?


IS THERE too much cricket on television? Advertisers feel that cricket administration has killed a goose that lays golden eggs. Now, sports channels are cutting the rate of commercials shown during cricket matches. Only matches between `superstar' teams such as India and Pakistan, bring in the moolah for the channels. In fact, the Champion's Trophy finals between England and West Indies is not hot and happening for advertisers. What's more, even Mandira Bedi, who replaced her noodle

straps with halter necks during the Champion's Trophy in Set Max's `Extraaa Innings,' has not been able to liven up the proceedings any more!
