Welcome to Aquazone at the Park Hotel. And as the brochure says, so much can happen under water! True to its name, Aquazone is located right under a crystal clear swimming pool. A small spiral staircase leads you to the place that comprises massage rooms, sauna and changing rooms. The aqua theme is reflected in the light green and blue walls and the blue tiled floor.
Oil massages
If you want an oil massage you can choose from Work Out, Floral Touch or Under Pressure. The first is an Indian sports massage that uses essential oils, nutmeg and tulsi, while the second is a soothing Swedish massage that is based on Trager therapy. Alternatively, you could go in for the hour-long ayurvedic oil massage for deep relaxation. You will have to shell out anywhere between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 for these massages.
Among the head massage options, the oil-free Indian head massage is unique. This 25-minute procedure works on pressure points and uses friction to loosen tight muscles on the scalp, neck and shoulders. It is a procedure aimed at mental relaxation and promoting hair growth.
Another very exotic service on offer is silk body shine. In this 45-minute procedure, silk gloves are used to polish the skin, increase circulation and reduce cellulite. This is followed with application of light sandalwood, khus-khus and honey moisturiser. "This unique exfoliation treatment is available only in Aquazone in the city," says Sudhanshu Singh, Front Office Manager, The Park.
The place also offers some usual beauty regimens including waxing, threading, manicure and pedicure. You could try the Kerala-style foot treatment where your feet get a warm herbal bath, followed by exfoliation with a coconut scrub and a relaxing massage with coconut ginseng cream.
And if you won't be content with any one kind of treatment, you could pay Rs. 3,000 for a package of four services.
