Priyan's Vettam

SOME OF director Priyadarshan's fans are still unable to figure out why a well-made comedy like Vettam failed to woo the audiences.

It has a simple story woven around humorous incidents.

Gopalakrishnan (Dileep), a gambler, loses all his property and turns a petty thief.

He steals a gold chain and as the police chase him, he places it in the handbag of a woman who is about to board a train.

The train moves and he misses her. The girl Veena (played by Mumbai model Bhavana Puri) works in a computer centre.

Knowing that her lover who promised to marry her has ditched her and is marrying another girl, she sets on a journey to stop the wedding.

In the train, Gopalakrishnan spots her again and the story takes humorous turns.

By the way, in real life, Gopalakrishnan is the real name of mimicry artiste-turned-hero Dileep.
