Slice of life

THE MOST eagerly awaited film of the year is Selvaraghavan's "7-G Rainbow

Colony" due for release this Friday. Selva is a director who has dared to choose off-beat themes. He has packaged them cleverly in films such as "Kadhal Kondein" which also made a star out of Dhanush, his younger brother. Now leading producer A. M. Ratnam has given him a free hand with "7-G Rainbow Colony" which also happens to be the launch pad for his son Ravi Krishna. The film is partly autobiographical as it is based on incidents that happened in the director's life. Says Selva: "It offers a slice of life and the audience can relate to the characters. I have tried to present it in an entertaining manner." Ravi Krishna is said to have come out with a mature performance, and Sonia Agarwal in the role of a Punjabi girl is brilliant. The music of Yuvan Shankar Raja is already topping the charts.
