And quiet flows...

`Ganga' draws parallels between the river and life

HER DREAMS, aspirations and joys are sacrificed at the altar of family interests. She quietly endures the suffering and refuses to make a show of it. She chooses to honour her father's word and agrees to marry an officer in the Armed Forces. And she keeps her pain to herself when the bridegroom responds to the call of duty and rushes to the warfront on their wedding day.

Fate and its fickle and cruel designs form the basic plot for the serial Ganga on Gemini TV. The popular director of Kannada mega-serials, Sanjeev Tagadur places his central character in the labyrinth of events that providence chose to be harsh and quirky with. Telecast at 3 p.m., the daily serial has Roopa Devi, Narasimha Raju, Jyothi Reddy, Radha, Sri Charan, Sri Gauri, Sumanasri and Hemsunder. Catch up with the serial and see the director seeking to draw a parallel between the twists, turns and ebb and flow of Ganga's life with that of the river.
