MANMADHAN

Cast: Silambarasan and Jyotika

Banner:Indian Theatre Production

Credits: Story, screenplay and direction supervision: Silambarasan; direction: A. J. Murugan; dialogue: Balakumaran; music: Yuvan Shankar Raja

Storyline: Well, nothing is out. For the first time, Simbu dons a different mantle, apart from playing the hero. "Manmadhan" comes with Simbu's story and screenplay and the young hero has helped out a lot with the direction too.

Quote: I've slogged for months, even postponing the start of my next film, `Thotti Jaya'. The first 10 days of the shoot I was nervous. But it was familiar ground because from a young age I've always sat with my dad (T. Rajendar) during story discussions. And I've had this habit of jotting down story ideas. One such was `Manmadhan.' My films began to get stereotypical and formula oriented. And just as I thought I had to begin doing things differently, this project came to me. My producer has been wonderful, providing me with whatever I had asked for. If I wanted 500 policemen for a scene, he saw to it that I got them. About the film, it is not just a boy-meets-girl romance with the usual fights and dances ... you'll see it for yourself.

— Silambarasan, actor
