ATTAGAASAM

Cast: Ajit and Pooja
Banner: Vijayam Cine Combines
Credits: Story, screenplay, dialogue and direction: Saran; music: Bharadwaj
Storyline: Success and Saran have almost always been synonymous. And that explains the hype that surrounds his Deepavali offering with Ajit in a dual role — one a mild mannered driving school owner and the other a dada at the Tuticorin harbour.

Quote:Ajit has come out with a fabulous performance. `After the release, your films are bound to be classified as those `Before Attagaasam' and `After ... ',' I had told Ajit, and I mean it. Without resorting to computer graphics, I have brought out the differences between the two Ajits convincingly. The look-alikes meet only twice in the entire film — before the intermission and in the climax. `Attagaasam' is another mass entertainer, but one that will be very different from `Kadhal Mannan' or `Amarkkalam', the two films that I had earlier done with Ajit.

— Saran, director
