Anchoring with élan
SHE CONTINUES to be one of the most reliable anchors of the Telugu telly. Despite the influx of a horde of anchors good, bad and some simply awful the industry brackets Suma among anchors who can be relied upon to deliver the goods, whatever the concept might be.
In a long career that began in days when channel surfing was unheard of and Doordarshan happened to be the lone source that brightened up the tube, Suma has managed to hold her position on the telly. "She has nurtured her career very carefully and almost every channel has some show or the other featuring her," observes a producer.
However, one fails to understand what went wrong with the career of her actor-husband, Rajeev Kankala. After some noticeable performances on the small screen, Rajeev was heard confiding his dreams for the big screen and after a few appearances in films, is hardly seen on either. Didn't Suma share her recipe for success with Rajeev, one wonders?
