Thespo expands

THESPO, THE annual youth theatre festival, is back this year with add-ons and bonuses. The festival, which invites entries for plays by people under 25, is hosting its Bangalore round between December 7 and 12 at Ranga Shankara.

In keeping with its promotion of youth talent, Thespo is inviteing applications for poster design from young designers. Festival organisers Harlequin Entertainment, along with a team of qualified judges, will shortlist an artist who will then design posters for all the Thespo events. The design brief as well as rules and regulations will be sent to interested participants.

Plays at Thespo this year will begin with a platform performance every day. Theatre groups can sign up to perform pieces between 20-30 minutes: poetry, skits, comic acts and so on.

To submit a poster design or offer a platform performance, e-mail thespobangalore@yahoo.co.in and poster designers be sure to get in touch with them before November 22, the last day for the contest.
